Juliet Okafor

Juliet Okafor, J.D., is a cybersecurity professional who has combined her knowledge of the legal system and cybersecurity solution models into success stories across fortune 500 industries throughout the USA. Her ability to scope, plan and design the creation of an OT Cybersecurity Management System framework for one of the largest cruise lines in the world is testament of her commitment and leadership regardless of the challenge.

Juliet graduated from UMass-Amherst with a B.A. in Communication, Fordham University with an M.A. in Public Communication and Media Studies and received her Juris Doctorate from Temple University – Beasley School of Law. She is currently the Chief Engagement Officer (CEO) for RevolutionCyber.


Beau Bullock

Beau Bullock is a Senior Security Analyst and Penetration Tester and has been with Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) since 2014. Beau has a multitude of security certifications and maintains his extensive skills by routinely taking training, learning as much as he can from his peers, and researching topics that he lacks knowledge in. He is a constant contributor to the infosec community by authoring open-source tools, writing blogs, speaking at conferences and on webcasts, and teaching his training course, Breaching the Cloud.


John Hammond

John Hammond is a cybersecurity researcher, educator and content creator. As part of the Threat Operations team at Huntress, John spends his days analyzing malware and making hackers earn their access.

Previously, as a Department of Defense Cyber Training Academy instructor, he taught the Cyber Threat Emulation course, educating both civilian and military members on offensive Python, PowerShell, other scripting languages and the adversarial mindset. He has developed training material and information security challenges for events such as PicoCTF and competitions at DEFCON US. John speaks at security conferences such as BsidesNoVA, to students at colleges such as the US Naval Academy, and other online events including the SANS Holiday Hack Challenge/KringleCon.

He is an online YouTube personality showcasing programming tutorials, CTF video walkthroughs and other cyber security content.


John Watson

John is Head of the Cyber Crime and Digital Forensic Unit for Royal Cayman Islands Police Service. He has been in RCIPS since January 2021. With a 40 year career in law enforcement John has been involved in major crime investigation and latterly cyber crime investigation. Prior to joining RCIPS John was law enforcement co-ordinator within the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre at GCHQ, as part of the National Crime Agencies cyber crime team he worked in incident management where he co-ordinated and investigated some of the most serious cyber crime attacks on the UK. He holds CiSSP, CEH and other qualifications and leads a small team carrying out digital forensics and cyber crime investigation.


Mick Baccio

Mick Baccio fell in love with the idea of cyberspace around nine years old after reading Neuromancer, thinking “I could do that.” 

Before joining Splunk, he held the title of Chief Information Security Officer at Pete for America, holding the honor of being the first CISO in the history of US presidential campaigns. Mick was also the White House Threat Intelligence Branch Chief in both the Obama and Trump administrations and helped create the threat intelligence program during the rollout of the Affordable Care Act at the Department of Health and Human Services. 

He is still trying to do ‘that’. 

As a Global Security Advisor, Mick leverages his unique background and technical expertise to help customers solve complex security problems. In his spare time, Mick teaches lockpicking and is a ThruntCon founder. 


Adam Pennington

Adam Pennington (@_whatshisface) leads ATT&CK at The MITRE Corporation and collected much of the intelligence leveraged in creating ATT&CK’s initial techniques. He has spent much of his 13 years with MITRE studying and preaching the use of deception for intelligence gathering.
Prior to joining MITRE, Adam was a researcher at Carnegie Mellon’s Parallel Data Lab and earned his BS and MS degrees in Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as the 2017 Alumni Service Award from Carnegie Mellon University. Adam has presented and published in a number of venues including FIRST CTI, USENIX Security, DEF CON, and ACM Transactions on Information and System Security.


Georgia Scott

Georgia is head of Ogier Regulatory Consulting in the Cayman Islands. She joined Ogier in 2022, providing AML officer services to a range of fund vehicles before transitioning to Ogier’s Regulatory Consulting division in 2023. She has a strong background in Regulatory Compliance and AML with experience in managing regulatory inspections, conducting audits and testing of control programmes.

Georgia is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and holds the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) designation. She has more than 10 years of experience in the Cayman financial services industry including audit, regulatory compliance and AML functions.

Prior to joining Ogier, Georgia held various roles within an International Bank in finance, operations and regulatory compliance and AML where she also served as Deputy MLRO. She also worked for a Big 4 Audit firm specialising in banking and captives.

Georgia Scott has been diligently working to uncover and elevate awareness about the intricate interconnections between compliance, cybersecurity, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) practices. With her expertise, she is making strides in identifying and addressing the challenges at the intersection of these critical areas, ensuring robust regulatory compliance and enhancing the cybersecurity posture within the industry.

Garry has over 25 years of cybersecurity experience with projects of significance across all geographies. As a periodic speaker, he has covered security subjects of note for diverse audiences. As a Corporate in Residence advisor, Garry is engaged in assisting near term cyber projects take flight.


Vlad Logvinov

Experienced in developing solutions across jurisdictions and verticals, Vlad is a co-founder in entities ranging from regtech and IT concierge to asynchronous delivery of digitalized knowledge; he aims to tackle complex corporate challenges through interactivity and gamification.

Matthew Kiely

Learn. Teach. Build. Repeat. Matt Kiely (HuskyHacks) is a cybersecurity practitioner with 12 years of experience in offensive security research, malware reverse engineering, and network administration. Matt is a Principal Security Researcher at Huntress Labs, where he spends most of his time turning cybercriminals into examples. He is also the creator and instructor of Practical Malware Analysis & Triage (PMAT) available on TCM Security Academy and has a combined 40k students under his tutelage across the globe. Matt thru-hiked the 2200 miles of the Appalachian Trail in 2023 to prevent anyone from telling him to “touch grass” ever again.


Christopher Nelmes

Christopher Nelmes, serving as the Associate Director of Cybersecurity at Harmonic Fund Services, leads cybersecurity at this global fund administrator and SaaS technology provider, headquartered in the Cayman Islands. As a self-professed PowerShell addict, he dedicates his expertise to discovering and automating complex challenges. A member of GIAC Advisory Board and SANS lethal forensicator. Christopher holds the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), ISC2 CISSP, and Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert certifications among others. Outside of work, Christopher is a keen sailor at the Cayman Islands Sailing Club.

Doug Hislop

Doug Hislop is an IT and cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of experience in every area of enterprise information technology. Before joining Soteria Doug served as a Chief Information Officer, information security manager, software development manager, systems architect, security administrator, and various other IT roles.

As a Senior Security Advisory, Doug uses his experience to guide clients through their cybersecurity journey. Doug has successfully led security program implementations for many clients in addition to performing risk and privacy assessments, and assisting with security product development at Soteria.

Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Doug is actively involved in industry associations like PMI and ISACA.


Will Baggett

Will Baggett is the Director of Digital Forensics and Advanced Technology Application at Operation Safe Escape (volunteer role), a non-profit organization providing assistance to victims of domestic abuse and a Cyber Threat Intelligence manager at a “large company.”

Will draws from his experience as a former intelligence officer specializing in Technical and HUMINT Operations as well as a NATO SOF Cyber Security SME. His experience in the cyber industry covers the gamut from Y2k compliance to Log4J mitigation. He looks forward to assisting members of the BSides Cayman community with planning their next steps on their career path.


Greg Leah

Greg Leah is the Founder of PrecisionSec, a Threat Intelligence company based in Victoria, British Columbia. Drawing on over 15 years of experience in the security industry, Greg has gained a wide range of expertise ranging from reverse engineering and creating complex malware detections for several top-tier antivirus vendors to leading a professional services team that offered highly-targeted intelligence reporting.

At PrecisionSec, Greg designs and builds automated systems for threat hunting and threat intelligence collections, leveraging his extensive experience with large-scale malware analysis pipelines and malicious infrastructure monitoring.


Scott Thomas

Scott Thomas is the Manager of Offensive Security for Soteria. He has over 25 years of professional cybersecurity experience in a variety of roles, with the last 15 years as an offensive security consultant performing penetration tests and red team engagements for clients in a wide range of industries. He got his start as a kid wardialing things he probably shouldn’t have @ 300 baud.


Marcelle Lee

Marcelle Lee is the lead for threat research and operations at Equinix, and is also an adjunct professor and training consultant. She specializes in security research and digital forensics. She has been involved with many industry organizations, working groups, and boards, including the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu, the NIST Cyber Competitions Working Group, and the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland Advisory Council. She also both builds and participates in cyber competitions.
Marcelle has earned the CISSP, GCFA, GCIA, GCIH, GPEN, GISF, GSEC, GCCC, C|HFI, C|EH, CSX-P, CCNA, PenTest+, Security+, Network+, and ACE industry certifications. She holds four degrees, including a master’s degree in cybersecurity. She has received the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council Women in Tech (WIT) Award and the Volunteer of the Year award from the Women’s Society of Cyberjujitsu. Marcelle frequently presents at conferences and training events, and is an active volunteer in the cybersecurity community.


Angus Chen

Angus Chen is a leader who fosters a culture of trust and is an experienced cybersecurity data scientist known for his ability to connect the dots. As DEFCON Goon and a board member, he contributes to communities and promotes diversity in all its forms. He is also a speaker who shares his knowledge extensively. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Angus has developed, and implemented data science and deep tech solutions for a wide range of organizations, including MITRE, the Federal Reserve Board, and FINRA. He is a rock climber who looks for projects. He is the Director of Data Science at Binary Defense. He holds an MBA from IESE and a Master’s in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. Angus is also certified in CISSP, CCSP, and PMP.


Imani Palmer

Imani Palmer I am a highly motivated research scientist that focuses in the area of security. I earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois. I current work in the space of data science and security on multiple projects from cyber risk, education and low-level kernel analysis.


Steve Salinas

Steve is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Throughout his career, Steve has leveraged his expertise to develop and contribute to open-source offensive tools, often collaborating with diverse technical teams around the world. Steve has implemented novel methods assessing machine learning models, and spearheaded the development of counter-artificial intelligence capabilities paving the way for more advanced research and development. Since joining Fortra, Steve has contributed to the advancement of command-and-control (C2) capabilities in offensive security frameworks as a part of the Cobalt Strike team.


Michael Castro

As an IT leader with over two decades of experience building and leading information security, cyber risk and compliance programs at the enterprise level, Michael is a veteran vanguard for protecting sensitive data. Michael’s multi-faceted portfolio includes a rich mosaic of work ranging from security strategy to architectural development to cybersecurity training. Michael’s previous work includes serving as Head of Information Security and Risk Management at Loblaw Companies Limited and numerous Senior Info and Cybersecurity roles in the areas of Oil & Gas, Finance, Health Care and Retail.

Pamela is the Director & Chief Information Security Officer with the Cayman Islands Government, having been appointed in 2019.  Pamela has over 25 years’ experience in the global digital technology industry having spent the early years of her career as a software developer before working as a management consultant. She earned her post graduate diploma in e-commerce, economics, and technology at the University of London (UK)and a graduate diploma in law at University of Westminster (UK). She has been a registered Information security auditor with International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA) since 2013 and has been a member of ISACA since 2010. Her experience and specialism cover risk management, information privacy, IT governance, IT auditing, IT assurance, online fraud, mobile value-added products, digital & cryptocurrency and IT contractual dispute management, software development and IT/network technology.
